For Spring Summer 2020 we’ve proudly collaborated with the National Portrait Gallery on two exclusive gilets. Both the Crew Neck and Bomber gilets are made from our signature ‘Lavenster’ water resistant fabric and quilted in our iconic two-inch diamond pattern. As with all Lavenham quilting, the wadding is made from 65% recycled fibres.
The contrast lining and matching press studs are finished in the same striking shade of ‘Tudor Blue’ which decorates the most popular rooms of the portrait gallery. The colour is also used for the embroidered ‘NPG’ motif on the back of each style, the design of which was taken directly from a mosaic floor found in one of the oldest parts of the gallery.
Founded in 1856, the National Portrait Gallery was the first portrait gallery in the world. The gallery moved to its current location on St Martin’s Place, just off London’s famous Trafalgar Square, in 1896. Today it boasts the most extensive collection of portraits in the world.

Made to Order
Some of our items, particularly our classics, are made to order. Our artisans can turn a garment round in just a few days, but if you need something in a hurry please contact our customer service team customerservice@lavenhamjackets.com for an estimated delivery date.
UK Deliveries
Standard Delivery - Royal Mail Recorded, 2-5 working days delivery
International Deliveries
For International Deliveries for up to 2 jackets we will use Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.
For Horse Rugs and any orders for more than 2 jackets we will use Interlink, which is also tracked and signed, orders will be delivered between 5-10 working days depending on the country.
You can return items within 45 days of receipt for a refund of that item or to exchange it to a different size or colour of the same item, depending on stock. Please ensure the original labels are attached to the garment.
To return items please complete the returns form that was in your original parcel and send using a recorded or tracked service and ensure you keep a proof of posting, the goods are the customer’s responsibility until they reach the Lavenham warehouse.
The customer is responsible for the payment of returns, unless you have received a faulty item or incorrect item then send to Lavenham using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and please enclose a copy of your receipt of postage in your parcel and Lavenham will refund the cost of postage on to the card that was used to make the original purchase.
