This gilet is made to order. There will be a two week lead time.
It started with A better Gilet: Thornham. More than the one ‘sustainable’ gilet in the line, we used the gilet as a testing ground for the recycled version of our signature Lavenster fabric. The goal was always to extend this new fabric innovation out across the whole range. We achieved that, and after using up our existing stock of Lavenster, we’ve gradually switched all our factory production over to recycled Lavenster.
A Better Gilet: Longline Barton is the next step on. Taking our most popular women’s gilet, The Barton Longline, in addition to the recycled Lavenster, part recycled wadding and organic cotton corduroy, we’ve moved our sewing threads over to a 100% recycled polyester version and added new buttons made from recycled paper instead of our usual plastic.
Just as the original A Better Gilet, this is by no means the end of our journey. We continue to seek out new ways to clean up our production in order to live within the means of our planet.

Some of our items, particularly our classics, are made to order. Our artisans can turn a garment round in just a few days, but if you need something in a hurry please contact our customer service team email@example.com for an estimated delivery date.
Standard Delivery - Royal Mail Recorded, 2-5 working days delivery
For International Deliveries for up to 2 jackets we will use Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.
You can return items within 30 days of receipt for a refund of that item or to exchange it to a different size or colour of the same item, depending on stock. Please ensure the original labels are attached to the garment.
To return items please complete the returns form that was in your original parcel and send using a recorded or tracked service and ensure you keep a proof of posting, the goods are the customer’s responsibility until they reach the Lavenham warehouse.
The customer is responsible for the payment of returns, unless you have received a faulty item or incorrect item then send to Lavenham using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and please enclose a copy of your receipt of postage in your parcel and Lavenham will refund the cost of postage on to the card that was used to make the original purchase.
