We realised very early on that in bringing together complementary fabrics, we could create garments which were greater than the sum of their parts. That is after all the essence of quilting.
Taking inspiration from the iconic bomber jacket, this gilet features a ribbed collar, zip fastening and slightly curved silhouette. Starting with a Lavenster base, we’ve added tonal storm pockets and a back panels in dry waxed cotton, sourced from Halley Stevensons of Scotland who have been making exceptional waxed cotton since 1864.
A lighter wadding weight makes this gilet idea for spring and summer; layer over a jumper while the weather is still cool and over a tee shirt as the weather warms up. A versatile and practical layering piece, we’ve finished the gilet with cotton binding and our signature Lav tab branding as the seam.
