A tribute to icons of the UK sound system Jah Shaka and Abi Shanti, and imagined outfits that could have been worn during set up of one of their dub reggae nights, the Nicholas Daley X Lavenham capsule forms part of the wider ‘Abstract Truth’ AW20 collection. Continuing our tradition of lending quilting expertise to innovative designers, each piece fuses traditional quilting with the latest in fabric technology, to create beautiful yet incredibly practical pieces that promise to earn their keep as winter wardrobe mainstays.
A stand collar, technical insulation and pockets ranging from small to large make the MC Gilet a decidedly utilitarian addition to your autumn winter wardrobe. Space for all your daily essentials plus pockets to warm your hands, we’ve contrasted two sizes and shades of onion quilt and added a covered zip front closure.
The piece brings together British and Japanese fabric technology; the outer dry waxed cotton is sourced from the Halley Stevenson Mill is Scotland, whilst the contrast crinkly nylon we’ve used is from Shibaya fabrics in Japan. The Clo-I wadding we’ve used is lightweight, breathable and insulating, and all the components come together to provide a substantial barrier between you and the cold weather.
