The sweat crewneck uses a domestic thick yarn and GG fleece, that has both thickness and softness. The back is not brushed, making the fabric more breathable for year-round utilisation. The milling cutter (rib) also uses two threads to improve durability. The sleeves are elaborate specifications that are seen in vintage baseball sweatshirts, with the front set in and the back raglan sleeves, making for easy arm movement.
The careful Japanese manufacturing process, using the same machinery as when it began in 1949, isn’t dissimilar from our hand-crafted production here in Suffolk, only at Jackman they specialise in using the finest cotton, at their own factory in Fukui, Japan.
Founded by Mitsugu Tanabe right after WWII, and inspired by his love for American Baseball, Jackman continue to use spirit and passion, creating understated, yet high quality pieces.
