1969 Mrs Elliot started The Lavenham Rug Company in Lavenham village - The first nylon quilted horse rug was made.
1971 The Lavenham Rug Company relocated to larger premises in Long Melford.
1972 Lavenham started producing Quilted jackets.
1975 Lavenham started making Jodhpurs and Breeches.
1982 Sales are strong in the UK for Quilted jackets
1990 Popularity for the Quilted jackets started growing in Italy.
1993 Lavenham collaborated with APC this secured the first Japanese order.
1998 Lavenham introduced diamond quilted bags and Duffle coats.
2002 Lavenham won its first Queens award for International Trade.
2003 Lavenham moved to a new purpose built factory in Sudbury. This was opened by The Duke of York.
2007 Lavenham won its second Queens award for International Trade.
2008 Lavenham received a Royal visit by Princess Anne and she presented our second Queens Award for International Trade.
2009 Lavenham is celebrating its 40th Anniversary.. To celebrate we have chosen a 1969 Liberty Art Fabric archive print, which was chosen specially for our anniversary.
2010 Lavenham set to take the UK & European markets by storm!
